The Scholarship Program is the guiding force behind our mission at Young At Art, providing underprivileged children the opportunity to gain the benefits that freedom of expression in the arts provides. Time and again, research has shown that these positive effects are significant to all areas of life and prove to last a lifetime…
We strive to involve students of all ethnicities and backgrounds with professional artists and teachers who will foster creative expression, artistic training and personal achievement.
We currently offer scholarships and donate art supplies and instruction outside our facility on an as needed basis, as well as supporting school and church fund raisers. We continue to form partnerships with Youth, Family, School and Community groups. Since our opening in June of 2009 we have awarded over $35,000 in scholarships and free community events.
Our goal is to add more scholarships. To do this we plan to: Amplify marketing efforts to increase non-scholarship enrollments and actively seek support from foundations, businesses, and private donors.
You Can Help A Child
You can help us to continue to provide Art Scholarships, Free Community Events for all children as well as donations of art supplies and instruction outside of our facility. Consider the unequivocal effect your contribution will have on the opportunities provided to children and the role it will play in years to come. Your donation is 100% tax deductible!
To make a donation please contact Kim Howell @ 619-459-1955, via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org or simply use our DONATE button.
